We have both retired recently....Steve after 33 years of teaching History/Government at Ilion Central High School. He is currently serving as Herkimer County's Executive Director of the United Way Campaign.

I retired from working as a Library Assistant in the Ilion High School as well. I had worked there for 18 years, having stayed home to raise our four children before my employment in the library. I had worked there previously in the office of the Principal/Vice-Principal. I was secretary to both when Steve & I first went to Ilion after college.

Steve also has served the village of Ilion as Mayor, Trustee and Village Justice. He has left a "legacy" at the school, as two of our four children now teach there. Lisa, our oldest and only daughter, teaches 10th & 11th grade English. Our middle son, Ryan, teaches 5th grade and coaches 8th grade basketball. Our eldest son, Wade, is the Administrator of the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, located in Ilion. Our youngest son, Kyle, lives and works in Harrisonburg, VA. He is currently employed by Massanutten Skiing/Golfing Resort just outside of Harrisonburg.

Our three oldest children are married and we have a total of 5 grandchildren. Drew (14), Amanda (11), and Zach (8) Alexander are the children of our daughter, Lisa and her husband, Scott Alexander.

Our son, Ryan and his wife, Jessica, have a daughter, Mikayla, who will be 2 in June. Wade and his wife, Shannon, have a brand new baby girl, Megan, who is just two months old. Our "baby", Kyle and his girlfriend, Brittani, are quite content to have a dog, "Dublin" and a cat, "Cliffie" for the time being!!

Steve and I enjoy traveling, reading, music, and trying to keep up with the activities of the kids and grandkids. We have just bought a boat and rented a camp in the Adirondacks for the summer. Steve is hoping to get some fishing in, while I catch up on some reading and crocheting.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the reunion in October!!
